I got these in an e-mail and thought that

Candy Recall

HALLOWEEN CANDY RECALLED

There is a new warning put out by the

Canadian Food Inspection Agency....

Sherwood brand Pirate's Gold Milk Chocolate

coins are being recalled due tothe fact that

they contain Melamine, the ingredient in milk

product that hascaused many infant deaths in china.

These candies are sold at Costco, aswell as many

bulk and dollar stores. please make sure to

check yourchildrens halloween candy and

DO NOT LET THEM EAT THE PIRATE COINS

(you knowthe ones wrapped in the shiny gold foil)

and please let other parents knowabout this!

I'm not sure if this is real or not,

but better safe than sorry!

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.

Hummingbird Lane

This is something I have never seen before,

or ever even heard of. This woman

lives in a Hummingbird fly zone.

As they migrated, about 20 of them were in

her yard. She took the little red dish,

filled it with sugar water and this is the result.

The woman is Abagail Alfano of Pine,

Louisiana -she has been studying them

daily and one morning put the cup from

the feeder, with water in it, in her hand;

as they had gotten used to her standing by

the feeder they came over to her hand.

She says in touching they are as light as a feather.

The Mama Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up somethingoff the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the itemaway from her and I asked her not to do that.

'Why?' my daughter asked.

'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know whereit's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs' I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration andasked, 'Mama, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.'?

I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It's on theMama Test.

'You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mama.'We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidentlypondering this new information.

'OH...I get it!' she beame d, 'So if you don't pass thetest you have to be the dad.

''Exactly,' I replied back with a big smile on my face.
