This was our trip to Dollywood in Tennessee.

I was taking pictures of all the mountains the best I could

because it was raining on us all the way up there.

Aren't these some of the prettiest mountains you have ever seen?

This is a close up of one of the so-called mountains

that I saw out the front window. lol

Half way there we stoped and ate at Sagebrush.

The food was good! We just had a good time

talking and cuttin' up with our green haired waitress.

Don't it look like she's up to something?

While we were there they were having "The World of Dance"
festival going on. There were several theaters were different
countries performed their traditional dances.

Kendra P.

Mrs. Janet

That was just pretty

Cameron and Nicole were overlooking the pond filled with ducks.

I thought that these were some very unique bird houses.

I'm thinking that this was in the Dreamland Forest Treehouse
were kids can play with all kinds of things. Including water guns and ball guns.
The kids and a few adults had a ball playing there even though is was sprinkling.

Brain shooting at Clayton

Cameron playing like he was a sea captain.

Clayton dodging some water blasts.

Nicole, Jordan and Caleb
Here was the inside of the treehouse.
There was all kinds of targets to shoot at

Sweetie showing Cameron how to shoot the gun.

Bro. Joel loading some more for Cameron.

And of course we had to shoot at each other =o)

This was some water that Cameron ran

through and barley got wet at all.

Bald Eagles

Here's an old time school house.

Like on Ann of Green Gables!

Brian and I both rode this ride

While Mrs. Janet and some others played games.

It started raining a little harder so we ducked in under some

shelter and while we were there a few trainers brought out

some hawks for us to see.

I can't remember what kind of hawk this one is but it is a hawk

This one here is a Red Tailed hawk. He was so calm and very alert

so the trainer let the kids get closer to her and have their pictures taken.

In the picture below, the hawk was really paying attention to Cameron.

Ain't it neat how they made this knife out of a rail road tie?!

Cameron did get to ride his carousel before we left.

It was the only thing that he could ride that wasn't soaking wet.

But that's OK because we will go back again pretty soon.

We watched how this man made a glass vase.

First he got some molten hot glass on the end of a rod...

then dipped it in some tiny glass pieces of different colors.
Then while he was constantly rolling the
rod, he shaped the glass to make it round.

See how hot it was when he moved the bowl he was shaping it with.

Next he took some 'tongs' and formed a stem.

Here it is hanging while he's getting some more glass for the base.
You can see how the tiny glass pieces made it all sparkely. Here is the glass that he got. He pressed it down inside of a mold
that made the ridges and then when he took it out of the mold
he let it just 'plop' down on the table and it made a pretty base for the vase.

Pressing it down on the base.

And here he is, while he's rolling it, making sure that the bottom is flat.

Here he's taking it off the one rod and onto a rod that is attached to the base.

Now, with some tongs he's opening the vase up

and then he pulls it with the tongs to make it flare out.

And this is what it will look like when it's completely cooled.

I just liked this one

Rhythm of The Dance

This was the only show that we stopped to see.

These guys sang great!

The Smoky Shadows Motel

Our hotel room

It had a hot tub and a fire place. It was so nice!

Outside there were a few men fishing Saturday morning.

On the way home again... this time it was foggy and raining.

We stopped in Ashville to get my friend Pam a pair
of special tennis shoes because this was the closest
store that had the specific shoe that she needed.

These are my Mickey Mouse salt shakers that I bought
at the Disney store in Pigeon Forge. Ain't they cute!!!

Looks like a lot of fun. I LOVED that glass. I'll have to check that out next time we go.

Hey, in that picture where Brian is showing Cam how to shoot the gun, what is that on Brian's head?

Kristi,
That was one of the foam balls that they were shooting out of the guns. I think someone was shooting at them.

I hope you can come with us next time.
