Brian's Home!

Friday, me and Cameron went to the airport to pick

upBrian. He had been in Michigan

for a ABB robot class.

He said that he had never seen so much snow.

That it had snowedalmost every day that he was

up there. One morning when he washeading

out to the class, the temperature was only eight

degrees. He said that he has never been so glad

to see Charlotte and dry ground. LOL

We're glad to have you home!

"The Half Has Never Been Told"

"...behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and

prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard." I Kings 10:7b

The Queen of Sheba was "blown away" by the magnificence

of King Solomon's greatness and wealth. She was even moved

by the demeanor or conduct of his soldiers and servants. She

had heard of his exploits and wisdom, but she had to exclaim,

"...the half was not told me:"

Our finite minds are incapable of cnceiving what our eyes

will behold and our hearts will experience when Heaven's grand

portals are first gained by our redeemed lives. Whether by the

rapture or via the grave, our access to Heaven and the opening

vistas of delight will undoubtedly be mind-boggling. And yet, as

a child of God, we'll be Home, comfortable, and surrounded by

the loving embrace of loved ones who have gone before, and

buoyed by the smile of His matchless face. We will not be

strangers in that "fair land beyond the river."

The Apostle Paul said it this way, "...Eye hath not seen, nor

ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart of man, the things

which God hath prepared for them that love him (I Cor. 2:9).

Now let me try! Every preacher who ever preached and

described Heaven and its majesty would have their muliplied

hearers seem as deaf compared to Glory's wonders. If every

artist since the dawn of time could gather and paint Heaven's

grandeur, it would appear like a sketch of a toddler compared to

its glories. And if every imagination could be piqued to the limit,

it would be like a blank screen of nothingness in comparison to

Heaven's half that could never be told. I'm kind of homesick...

(Isaiah 64:4).

I have often marveled at that. Can you imagine!..... no wait you can't.

"Spiritual Renewal"

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not

be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

When we get tired and weary in our physical life, we take a

vacation for a time of renewal and rest, a break from the ordi-

nary. But what about our spiritual life? When we are tired and

dry spiritually and need renewing, Isaiah tells us to "...mount up

with wings as eagles..."

The eagle sees a storm approaching, locks his wings and

starts to soar above the storm. When the storms of life come,

we don't have to be hindered or discouraged, but we can lock-in

our faith through prayer, godly fellowship, and focusing on God.

We will soar to a new spiritual height.

The eagle soars above teh annoying noise makers, the

hawks and crows. Sometimes Christians are teh easiest to get

offended, but if we get closer to God, we will begin to soar

above the person that offends us and the less offensive they will

become (see Psalm 119:164- 165).

The eagle seeks a high, secure place for rest and to raise

their young. As Christians, when we need to rest from the

"noise" of our lives we need to spend time alone with God and

abide secure in His presence and rest in Him.

So, if you're tired, weary and feeling spiritually dry, focus on

God, pursue His presence, and He will allow you to mount up

as eagles.

"The Double Cure"

"Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases" Pslam 103:3

Sam Hadley was a converted drunkard. He was giving his

testemony one night of how God had saved him and also gelivered

him from the desire to drink whiskey the same day. After the me-

eting a physician, a lady, came up to him and said , "I enjoyed the

meeting, but don't ever say what you said again. I am a doctor, a

graduate of such-and-such school, and I know you can never be saved

from the desire to drink whiskey. Drinking works on the stomach

until the stomach is just ulcerated, and there is no possible cure

within six months and sometimes years and possibly never." She

reiterated, "Don't ever say that you are--I don't say dishonest--but

you are simply fooled."

Sam said, "Whell, hallelujah!"

She said, "What is the matter with you?"

He shouted again, "Hallelujah!"

She said, "Are you a fool?"

He returned, "Praise the Lord!"

She said, "What is the matter with you?"

"Well," Sam said, "I knew God gave me a new heart. I never

knew before that He gave me a new stomach!"

The old song, ROCK OF AGES, says, "Be of sin the

double cure, save from wrath and make me pure.:

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old

things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

(II Cor. 5:17).

Museums !!! ...Museums !!!

Today we went back to the KidSenses Museum in Rutherfordton

when we knew it would be open. lol

The place was really neat. Cameron had a ball touching and doing everything!
The first thing you come to is this big o'l red fire truck and fire pole.

Your little ones can go and do their own grocery shopping...

and then check their stuff out too. The cash register

really works and so does the scanner on the counter.

Down stairs is the kids cafe.

Cameron loves cooking as it is, so he really liked this part.

All that, and this is what he made for me to eat. LOL

Well, he did bring me a drink too.

It had all kinds of things that you can do with bubbles.

I think that the fire station area was the favorie.

Then after lunch, we were off to the Schiele Museum in Gastonia.
Do you remember the movie "Night at the Museum"?

Cameron kept pretending to throw a bone then he would say

'it's not working'. I think he wanted to see the T-Rex chase a bone. LOL

Even though I've been here a hundred times, Cameron had

a ball. The whole time he was like "Oooooh, look at this!...Oooo look at that!"

This alligator was swiming around alot.

The museum added a touch and feel pool since

the last time I had been there.

And Cameron had to stick his head in the

crocidile's mouth before we left. =o)

Day Out

Yesterday me and Cameron had a day out with Gram-Gram and Aunt Mae.

At first we went to the Kidsenses museum but it wound out to be closed on mondays.

So, we went out to eat and then to a few more stores to look around and then

to the pond at Isothermal to feed the ducks.

It was Cameron's first time feeding them.

and some he liked to chase. LOL

Bus Church and Basketball

Saturday at bus church, we had a special guest teacher,

Mrs. Kim O'Malley. She had all the kids captivated.

She taught about missionaries and how the gospel is spread.

And after bus church, some of the kids who had permission
slips, got to stay and play basketball with the sigma youth.

Lunar Eclipse

This was our lunar eclipse Wednesday night.

It was around 10:15 and Cameron said 'Look at the moon Mommy'.

I knew we were to have one but, the other night the weather man said

that it would me mostly cloudy so I just didn't pay any more attention

to what he was saying about it. And sure enough, it was just the clearest

sky outside. But, as I said, I didn't pay attention to when it was supposed

to start. But I was glad that I did see it and that my new camera took a

decent picture of it.

Chuch E. Cheese

Cameron's friend, Levi, had his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese

last tuesday. Here he is blowing out his birthday candles.

He is big enough that he wants to play all the games by himself.

A Windy Day

Monday was a windy day and it just felt so good to be outside.

Brian was washing cars and Cameron wanted to play with his

cape that his Uncle Daniel had given him. (Thanks Dan!)

Boot-Boots wasn't sure what to think of the cape though.

He had a great time!

Valentine's Banquet

Ok, so I know I'm a little late posting pictures from our Valentine's

banquet, but I was trying to 'fine tune'some of the pictures.

Our banquet this year was "Love Warms The Heart".

We came a little early to the banquet because Brian was wanting

to help Bro. Greg with the cooking. And Cameron wanted to watch.

I think that they cooked over 100 steaks and a bunch of chicken breast.

This was the ice sculpture that Kristi had made for our

table center pieces. She said that she just used a heart shaped

cake pan and froze water in it and then added some food coloring.

(Didn't she do a wonderful job!)

We had a good time of fun and fellowship. This is a

'Newlywed' game that we played, and can you guess who

got called to be a part of it?! Yup, that's us up there.

Now, they said that the questions were going to be easy ones,

but I think that they were rather hard.

I got a video of it but was unable to upload it for some reason.

But I did get a picture of Percy and his girl Electra Cution.
